A little history behind our business ...
Steve & Melissa McClung, Owners
One question we are asked the most is "how did you get into the sign business?" Good question. Steve used to have a beautiful Pontiac Grand Prix that we were always having new graphics made for - after having all those graphics put on and taken off we got a glimps into the industry and we were hooked! Currently working for family businesses, we had a mind and heart for small business and graphics. In 2003, we decided to jump into the sign and graphic industry. When we originally started the name of the business was Steve and Melissa's Custom Lettering. As the business grew into more than just custom lettering, but wasn't just signs - we changed the name to Cumberland Signworks - with emphasis on WORKS!
We both still work full time for our other family businesses. Steve works at his family's rock yard, Virgil Reed Stone in Grandview, TN and Melissa works with her family at Cottrell Truck & Equipment in Crossville, TN.
Nearly seven years later, the sign business remains small and home-based. This allows for low overhead so that we can supply customers' needs at great prices. We believe all our customers are God-given. We'll strive to meet all your needs! As important as our customers are to us - keeping the business at home also allows us to focus on what matters to us most - our precious children who are growing so fast right before our eyes!
